PET is a web-based tool for supporting young people in
developing enterprise capability. It has been conceived and
designed by Matthew Evans, Assistant Head at Forrest School,
Berkshire and BBC National Enterprise Teacher of the Year 2007.
As a teacher you can share and benefit from his experience by
trialing PET to embed the delivery of enterprise skills within
your school.

PET captures evidence of students' enterprise learning and gives
students incentives to undertake structured self-assessment. As
the students' capabilities improve, PET promotes increasingly
challenging learning and maps the students' progress,
recognising their achievement and personal development.
Schools are able to assess the impact of educational activities
through PET, and easily access data to demonstrate the
effectiveness of enterprise learning programmes. EBLOs
(Education Business Link Organisations) working with schools
across their region are able to access data to report outcomes
to partner companies and sponsors. PET also provides continuity
of learning between school and EBLO organised events

The tool is designed to appeal to young people, making
innovative use of educational games, point scoring, leader
boards and personalised features to engage the student. PET is
available to any student in a subscribing school and is
accessible from anywhere with internet access.

PET is available for purchase by secondary schools in England
and Wales. The tool will enable schools to;

| |
|
 |
